Hey all,
I’m getting into rope climbing and descending this year and am really enjoying the DRT/MRS method the nysaddlehunter folks advocate. It is a good core workout, but I don’t mind. Truth is, I need it.
I’m having a challenge on leaning trees though. Either I’m swinging in the breeze, under the lean, trying to reach the tree with my toes so I can hump up, or I’m trying to balance on the “uphill” side, which doesn’t work for me, as I end out spinning off to the side, and twisting around in the breeze again.
Any tips? And is RADS/SRT easier on a leaner, as I’m just climbing the rope?
Thanks!
