Dryad drey

I looked quick and didnt see any videos showing someone going from a sitting to shooting and swinging. Again I looked really fast as im sure there are some out there. I love my JX3 but was wondering how the difference is from that to the Drey?

There is a good review on YouTube that includes some shooting. But the drey has had major upgrades since that was posted. Also I’ve never sat in a jx3. Sitting to standing to shooting is a cinch. The support of the hammock allows you to shoot from really weird positions without using your core muscles. It’s very comfortable and weighs a fractions of what jx3 does. It’s really well thought out.

Check out that video from @valerio024 . As for JX3 vs Drey there are more similarities than differences. I feel like in the JX3 I have to plan my setup like a hang on stand with cover & shooting lanes. You can make all the shots in both but what you gain in the chair like aspect of the JX3 you give up in flexibility for quick positioning. I don’t run the drey as a stand-alone but attached to my kite ( I found everything before deploying the hammock was better for me than the waist belt) the drey is really functioning as a giant back and with a bridge. All the shots are the same as your traditional saddle. Sitting to standing is the same as your doing now. If your arms & shoulders are inside the hammock you will need to lower the prussics & get some slack before going for your bow, but no big deal. I like them both but if I said you could put your JX3 in a Fanny pack at 20 percent of the weight it’s worth considering. I still believe the JX3 is more comfortable than the drey. but I love the saddle feel of the drey & it’s enough of a comfort upgrade that it’s an excellent option.

For anyone interested ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Man I gotta say that saddle design totally left the reservation and is in a galaxy all its own.
Somebody needs to get an in-depth video out there on how the saddle works and how to use its unique features and needs to do it like yesterday.

Opps my bad, have to add there is a video at the website.

Just finished watching the video.
So am I correct in saying you will need a lineman's belt to ascend and descend the tree as this saddle is not meant to be used also as a lineman's belt?

Never mind just watched a video at YT there is a version with linemans loops.
Great ANOTHER saddle model to consider. Well on the bright side I've till next year to decide.

The harness is minimalistic rock hardness like. It’s really different. The hammock is worth it. So comfortable. You are literally just chillin in a hammock.
