Hi Guys,

I just wanted to take the time to post on the custom climbing sticks I got from Dan at Eastern Woods Outdoors. First, let me say Dan is a great person to deal with and all of his products are first rate. Second, he does everything he can to make sure you are satisfied with your order and always answers emails quickly. Third, he ships your stuff to you as soon as possible and you're notified when the order is processed and shipped. I wanted to personally thank him for taking the time to answer all my questions and help me decide the best sticks for my needs. Since ordering my sticks I have ordered numerous other items from his site and all of them have met or exceeded my expectations.

If anyone is interested in ordering these sticks or has any questions about them please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I have tons of pictures and I can send them to you so you can get an idea of what sticks might work best for you. These pictures don't do the sticks justice they are really great and I wish I knew about them sooner. The camo sticks have just been covered with skins that I got from Dan they work great and go on super easy! Thanks again Dan I appreciate all your help!

Roger

That a nice looking set up. I have some plans drawn up already to make some myself. Most of it is pretty straight forward, but the standoff is what I’m interested in. I like when there is additional room for a good step and how well they bite into the tree to minimize lateral movement. What is the size of the stand offs? They seem to give a lot of room for your boot to get a good stance. How much does it cost for 3 of the sticks? That’s a nice set!

Dan is a great person to order from. I have ordered the same parts and made my own sticks. He is very helpful and I have asked him a lot of questions.

I’m unable to see the weight for the 3 sticks. Can someone pass on the total weight.
What the cost tally for the 3 sticks without the skins?

I’m not sure I would have to measure them but there is a lot of room compared to my old Muddy Pro sticks.
They are not cheap but the quality is excellent and the ability to customize in many ways should be factored in as well.
I will have to dig out my receipt and look it over or you can contact Dan or check the site. These are a quality piece of equipment you will have for a long time!

Thanks for the info. I don’t mind paying for quality. And the way you speak of dan and his attention to the customer is something to speak of. That means allot !!

They are 5lbs 10.6 ounces for the 3 complete sticks.
Those are great looking sticks I did the same thing with my LW sticks cut to 24.5" with 22" step spacing they came in at 28.9 ounces each so very comparable.

These are my favorite sticks, and will be what I buy next year unless carbon sticks make a big showing. What's the length on them? Why made you choose holes instead of flutes? Did Dan do the holes? Do you know if holes are lighter than flutes?

Don’t quote me but I think EWO had to stop selling sticks with holes in them... They came up with the fluting. Lightens the stick but maintains more strength than drilling holes.

I ordered 3 - 22” sticks yesterday. Can’t wait to get them.
