Eberhart Signature Saddle Intro

Well I am not going to deny the craftsmanship of the products are top notch. The dirty politicking I see from them turns me off. After seeing the posts bad mouthing other companies and just plain arrogance displayed on FB by Corrigan Jan and Casey Jones I canceled my Merlin order. I would rather hunt from the ground than support those two.

I never saw that FB post but that is not a isolated incident among pro staff. The staff in the office are super gracious and I really appreciate them

Would love to see a side by side between this and the recon...

It's not like e.g. tethrd's prostaff don't have similar bl

Ol'man Anderson may have a bone to pick with that.

The lower panel hook up? I thought that was a new idea. Like the oplux rope waist belt.

Should have signaled for sarcasm. Referencing the marketing that it has 40 years of experience that went into the design.

I brought up the similarities for discussion to existing sling styles and got chewed down by the fans on FB. Main comment was that the thing has been in development for “longer than you know” or something like that.

So the leg loops have been in development for a long time? Doesn't seem that way to me because the ESS video shows they do not work (John correctly engages the leg loops but they become "loose" during the video).

Actually, I don't see them coming loose at all. It takes pretty decent effort to undue them.

When I stated loose, I meant that the g hook was not fully engaged.
Here is the ESS video:

At the 8:00 mark, John correctly engages the g hook and then states the leg straps should always be kept loose.
At the 15:50 mark, the g-hook is already loose and barely hanging on.
You can really see it at the 16:45 mark barely hanging on. If you look at that attachment for the rest of the video, it is not engaged fully. Look at it at the 23:07 mark.

I agree with you Ontario, I don't know about the other information but what I do know is that Aero replaced my Flex this past summer quickly and at absolutely no cost to me and no hassle. The people in the office are top notch and their products just oooz quality to me. I think Tethrd is good kit too but I don't like the china deal either quite honestly. I really respect John Eberhart and the guys from Tethrd are top notch but in my very very humble opinion, Aerohunter's stuff just seems beefier to me. Hardly ever see anything about it on this forum but the Tactisadde is an excellent, light, well built saddle and although its not a two panel system, the build quality is incredible.

Id like to put an amsteel bridge on mine. Any recommendations to buy one

BigMike, I would contact DanO at Eastern Woods Outdoors he has a lot of Amsteel products for sale maybe he can point you in the right direction.

Roger,

Roger,
Thanks for the suggestion, but Im pretty sure I'm sending my ess back. To loud and clanky unless you stealth stripped the hell outta it. Think I'm gunna go with the latitude method buckle less

Good deal on releasing another saddle
Lots of options out here

Yes we have all supported China in one way or another over the years but after Covid I would hope that we as a nation navigate away from them.
If you don’t want something made by us then that’s fine... this forums is full of all kinds

Plenty of other good American made options
If you decide to support Chinese made products then that’s your decision

I drive a diesel truck
Yes I probably choke out a crow or 2 over the course of the year, but that’s what I want to drive.

If you like it we’re happy for you, just be safe.

Check your stitching
Inspect your saddle before each use

We should all be doing this no matter where it comes from
