I'm looking at using one of these and attaching a few sizes of day packs based on season.

Goal is to haul a quartered deer a couple miles deep on public land a few times a year and pull other duties for hiking.

I'm 5'6" 185# so I doubt I'd get the tall version. I'm pretty sold on the flexibility of these style frames and my ability to buy either for far under retail price. Any input on which to buy? Does the solid shelf make a difference?

I have an F1 and the transformer pack that zips onto it. I picked it up on the classifieds here. It’s going to CO on an elk hunt with me. For reference I’m 5’9” 180. I loaded the daypack with about 15 pounds of stuff and threw a 40lb salt bag on the load shelf and it carried pretty well.

I've been looking at buying one of these two frames. Leaning more towards the M1, but it doesn't seem to be as popular. Anyone here running the M1 Carrier that would like to give some feedback?

Just picked up a used m1 at a reasonable price on here and know nothing about them other then they look cool.

Does anyone know if you can replace the waist belt webbing? The guy I bought mine from must’ve been a skinny feller.

I haven’t even had a chance to really check mine out yet but first glance looks awesome. Excited to mess around with the endless set ups. Hoping I may be able to make some different bags myself to attach to it at some point.

Can some of y’all share pictures of your set up using the f1 or m1? Thanks?

Also, I see they sell the f1 frame for $40. Not that I need it now but will the f1 frame fit in the m1? I haven’t checked to see how it’s attached yet.
