Hey all,
I'm a new member here and have been searching for some eye splicing resources but didn't see what I was looking for. I just picked up a used saddle from a buddy and need to outfit it with all the necessary bits before I can start practicing. I have a bunch of rolls of climbing rope that I got from work and I want to splice eyes into my lineman's belt and tree tether but have never done that before. What is a reliable tool kit to do that or a resource with some how-to instructions for a newbie?
 
Yeah I’d check out the mfr site for recommendations per rope type & there’s usually multiples on YouTube. Depends on line but just a did & some wire will usually get it done.
 
Thanks guys. I think I've been over thinking it. I have a few spools to play with and get it down. I'll keep digging around but no one near me sells anything like this so I'll have to order a kit online I think.
