EZ Kut Tree Bolts

some have commented that they have but the drawbacks are the soft wood can lead to sloppy holes. Perhaps drilling at a steeper angle will help the longevity of the holes. The other issue is Sap. Makes a mess of your gear.
I have used bolts in white pine and the holes do tend to open up a bit and the sap is a sticky mess....

So I’m new to saddle hunting. I bought my Tethrd mantis during the Black Friday sale and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. I’m currently selling all of my climbers and lock ons. I have been researching climbing methods and ran across this thread. The bolts peaked my interest. My Grandpa worked for the telephone company and has tons of galvanized bolts and telephone pole screw in steps. They work perfectly for where I hunt and definitely beat my climbing sticks.

This is an old thread but I’m very glad to find it. Great information I can use on my newly purchased property!
