I saw this conversation out there and thought it was an interesting one. If you were to do a long/all day sit, what is your food regiment/your favorite snacks to have with you? What helps you get through the day and stay sharp while hunting?

Some water, a ProBar meal bar, peanut butter packet, and gummy bears lol. IF I'm planning on eating, if I'm static I usually don't eat much in the stand... If I'm on the ground, and it's cold, I'll probably bring stuff for coffee.

"meat sticks" as my kids call 'em, nuts, cheese and some other form of protein (usually in the form of leftover loin, chicken, steak etc). Usually all in a ziploc together. I also have an "emergency" stash of some extra calorie fillers just in case I snap a bone or something and have to slow roll out or spend the night.

My wife has a cookie company that makes peanut butter protein cookies called Hangry Proten Bites. They’re a go to. I told her we need to market some to hunters and call it Buck Bites.

I can't stay focused when I'm hungry, so I almost always have snacks. Anything loud gets repackaged into a reusable bag or container. My go-tos are: Stanley thermos with hot coffee, honey roasted peanuts, PB sandwich, nutrigrain bars, meat stick, and the occasional candy bar.

On all day sits, I have been known to take a soup thermos with scalding hot loaded potato soup. Can't describe how great it feels to eat a hot spoonful of soup when your hands feel like they might freeze off.

My go to for any sit, Peanut butter sandwiches, poptarts, Jerky, Water, Coffee and a little pinch of nicotine.

Couple good threads here:

When you are on stand and thinking about food, just think of this...

I didn’t tend to bring much food. If I do it’s a honey waffle or a protein bar like the epic meat bar. Mainly water 32 to 64 oz.

Nothing exciting for me. Oatmeal. Overnight oats early season, thermos of hot oatmeal with fresh fruit for late season. Usually a Kind or Larabar too. Water. I eat tons of meat generally, but when I’m hunting no meat sticks/jerky.
