Maybe other people are already doing this and I’m late to the party I don’t know. I never cared for paracord finger loop. Just feel like I’m constantly readjusting it. I took out the paracord and replaced it with a piece of small bungee cord. I can adjust once then just stretch a bit to slide over my finger.

Did you tie it in a knot or use a little clamp?

The only issue I can see is that shock cord seems to dry rot and give out unexpectedly. I guess most of us have some back up paracord or something that would work if the shock cord broke. I guess the sleeve on the shock cord usually stays intact too when the rubber core breaks.

That is something I hadn't considered. But mine has minimal tension and doesn't spend much time in direct sunlight, so it should last a couple of season before needing replaced

I use a Bicaster barebow 3 under tab. It has the 3 finger loops with a lock tab and uses the flat material instead of the cordage typical on most tabs. It's very comfortable and stays put even when I'm sweating and moving a lot.

He does something similar

I've been eyeing these tabs for a little bit. I was going to send him a scrap of B&W ebony and have him make me a custom one to match my bows but, all the scraps dad had piled up to the point he tossed them all in the fire one day. Trying to decide which version I am going to ask my kids to get me for Fathers day now.

He should prolly build you a new bow for that lack of foresight.

I have a gen1 tab and love it, it has a paracord strap setup same way as the shock cord. That’s only difference
