Tried out my Cruzr for the first hunt - a learning experience for sure! I'd climbed a few times but never actually hunted from it.

Crappy tree next to a swamp, it worked great! Tried Thermacell for the first time also, and was quite impressed. Hog showed up around 10:15 and I shot it, but couldn't find it. (lesson learned there, too)

Getting sys strap up at a better position, adjusting tether to be more comfortable, angle of tree, where to place platform - it was very eye-opening. All little things that make huge differences in comfort, thereby making it easier to sit/lean concealed for a long time.

I think I'm gonna like this.

It really is amazing how much you learn the first few times you actually hunt from a saddle. Welcome to the club!

Get ready to start hiding packages and using elaborate excuses about why you need to spend so much money!
Nah, my wife and I don't do things that way. She'll be the one telling me to buy more stuff.
I was saying something about the expensive saltwater reels I needed to service, she says "those things put food on the table".

Yeah, I have it good.
