I got in the around 330 around 415 I see a doe feeding around 40 yards ( I’m in really thick thick security cover in all my stands ) i grab my bow and get ready because I figure she’s feeding rite towards me gonna happen quick rite? Wrong , she fed for about 10 minutes then fed out to about 50 I could just catch glimpses of her then she feeds bad to about 30 but always behind brush and not in my lanes she then proceeds to lay down and chew her cud for almost a half hour . I couldn’t move she was facing rite at me at 30 yards but all I can see is her head . So I stand there for ever not moving a muscle legs fell asleep and all . She then gets up and slowly feeds towards me through thick thick stuff , she gets about 3 steps from my shooting lane and I draw all goes well she walks into the opening at 14-16 yards to my strong side I settled the pin and let it go . Arrow enters high rite below the back strap which I think is a little high but good CuZ I was at a steep angle being so close . She takes off through brush making a racket and I hear her crash in a few seconds . I wait a bit get down go check the arrow and it’s covered with red bubbly blood . I knew she was smoked . Weird part is there was almost no blood trail to speak of . We followed specs the hole way never once saw any good blood. We stumble rite onto her following specs like pen tip size specs.. since the entry and exit were a bit high even with a double lung shot she barely bled at all84CBE326-A53D-42A4-81FA-02842E06743C.png84CBE326-A53D-42A4-81FA-02842E06743C.png119B0476-5891-40E9-B146-A531881E2699.png

Congratulations man! Feels good to get one outta the saddle, Way to wait her out and bring her home!

Very nice, I’m still working on my first one from the saddle. Had a chance at some does early but decided to wait on cooler temps. Congrats

Great job, I’ve learned blood trails can be very unpredictable on those clean double lung shots. I almost didn’t find one 2 years ago because I had no blood on the same type shot, she ran less than 50 yards

Sometimes they die so quick, they don't have time to bleed. I've shot a few that fell within sight and they were dead before they even started leaking. Lungs trashed, practically needed a ladle to scoop them out.
