Started saddle hunting this year, and so glad I decided to try it. So much nicer than packing a stand through the woods.

I've been hunting a small chunk of state forest the last couple years and knew there had to be a solid buck there. Got a cold north wind and setup just downwind of a bedding area and a few big white oaks. This guy came strolling through late in the morning. I hit him low, but clipped the heart and broke his off shoulder. Thankful for a great day in creation.

Wow! Congrats! I may have missed it in the ppst but what state did you kill him in?
