First world problems, saddle selection

I’m in NH down in Exeter and the transformer is what you want come over and give a shot. My buddy has a method as well telling you a 2 panel saddle is the way to go been thru A LOT some manufactered and some home built and I would be using them but Jaime made mine personally so it blows away anything I can build right now

I'm in Keene NH, thanks for the offer. I might hit you up on that. Might just buy one, worst thing I just resell it.

You can’t go wrong with a 2 panel transformer this thing is above and beyond awesome there are a few in the classifieds

I did a bunch of review reading when i was looking for a comfortable saddle. I read about the Cruzr XC and the Flatbranch Solitude. Those are, from what ive read, the most comfortable single panel saddles due to the expansion pleats. Having spoken to a couple people who have owned both, they opted for the Solitude as it was the most comfortable of the two. Ive got a Solitude on order now (ordered about 3 weeks ago). The wait time is the real killer on the solitude. Some guys have been waiting over a month.

Im about 40mins from keene, when i get it in, you are welcome to try it out.

For the guys who use two panels, how well do they work for one sticking?

That's great thanks for the offer, I believe I'm going to try a two panel I'm up in the air on which one it will be between the transformer or the method 2. But knowing that you are willing to let me try the solitude really makes my decision a lot easier. I can always resell what I don't like.
I really appreciate the offer thank you so much. ,

Great. This is one of the areas where a 2-panel shines for me. Way more comfortable than a 1-panel when you’re hanging free to move your stick.

I watched a video on 2 panels that has quite a bit of info. Seems the Method 2 and the Cruzr Archon were his highest rated.

They must've left the Kestrel out of their lineup???

One of them did try the Kestrel.

Having not tried any of them personally, the general consensus has been that with the pleats extended up your back and further down your legs, your weight is distributed over a larger surface. Same idea as a 2 panel i would imagine. Collapse the pleats for a single panel saddle feel, extend them for a 2 panel saddle feel.

Can’t speak on transformer. I want one just to try. But single panel is for the birds. Don’t forget the drey. My god I sleep in it.

The Drey was on my short list, but read a few reviews on guys who one stick, not liking it. Also for smaller guys, you get swallowed up due to the large amount of fabric.

how small are you? I’m 5’6” 200. Also I don’t one stick can’t say. I’ve seen guys do it with the hammock deployed and it seems fine. That said. I don’t one stick and won’t ever! So there is that. You can contact Dane and get less fabric also. He does custom stuff all the time. But hey. Whatever works for you.

Im 5'7" 140lbs. Mountain biked/rock climbed for years, so im a pretty fit guy. Thats probably why I gravitated towards one sticking, as mtn biking can have a pretty heavy focus on weight as well.

My main reason for wanting the drey was for the ability to tuck into it. Having ice fished out of a clam flip over my whole life, i know how much of a difference just having something to block the wind can be to help stay warm. At my weight, i need all the help i can get to keep warm lol.
