Flat Branch Outdoors

Nice, what size is that, and what size frame you have, if you don't mind me asking, I kept debating on a custom size and when I talked with owner he convinved me to just go with the Large. That looks big whatever size it is hope I made the right choice.

It is a large and I told him I am a 36 waist and hunt in colder temps

I’m also a 36 waist and hunt in moderate temperatures. I went with XL when I ordered on August 4. I wonder if I should change it to a Large? The Cruzr XC size 2 fits me great.

Yikes. I sold a size 2 XC last Dec. because I could not fill out the mesh, the top and bottom straps took all the weight and dug in.
Ive gained a few pounds since then (recovering from cancer) but not a lot. Wait and see, I talked about this at length before I ordered so maybe Ill be ok, but looks really big in that pic.

For reference, the the NY hunter video, think the bigger guy was wearing an XL. Just FYI if you have not seen that video.

awesome to hear you’re recovering!

it seems like one of the main reasons this thing is comfortable is because it is a bit larger in size compared to a standard single panel.

Guys I am impressed. My saddle came in today and I am just impressed!

I ordered this saddle because the XC fits my body type the best of the ones I’ve tried and this saddle looked like an XC on PED’s at first glance.

And that is basically what it feels like.

The quality is amazing - it feels extremely durable.

The saddle is deceivingly light. It feels essentially the same as the XC.

The panels really expand out providing noticeably more coverage than the xc.

Walking around my house, it walks the same as the XC.

The LB loops pointing outward is a really cool detail.

I had him throw on a loop to rappel with an atc/8 on the lower right side of the saddle.

The buckles do not feel heavy or cumbersome at all. The leg straps are extra long so I will likely chop them down a bit.

I cant wait to sit in this thing more but I don’t see why I wouldn’t hunt from this saddle this year over the other ones I have tried.

I am really pumped on this saddle. It was easily worth the wait!

NJ fall bow started today so I used the flat branch Solitude to sit this morning. It was about a 6 hour sit and it was super comfortable.

I reduced my bridge length to about a 5” bridge to one stick up and it was so comfortable even with the short bridge that I forgot to lengthen the bridge at height until about 2 hours in. Once I lengthened the bridge it was even more comfortable. There was zero hip pinch whatsoever.

This thing really hugs your hips and legs and it feels extremely secure. Pivoting around the biner feels very secure.

it’s basically a lounge chair when you are one sticking. This would also shine for 2TC.

My only minor complaint is that it would ride up a little when I would go from sitting to leaning. It was extremely easy to adjust back down and so it’s basically a non issue for me and I’ll gladly take that as the only con. I can probably resolve this by tightening the leg loops up.

If you are a cruzer XC fan you need to strongly consider trying this saddle out.

I am heading back out for an evening sit on a new WMA and have an awesome game plan for the hunt so I’ll let you know if anything else pops out about the saddle.

Do you think it’s more comfortable than the xc?

I got the standard, it’s my first saddle but it’s been comfortable but I don’t have anything to compare it to. I think it’ll be worth the wait and josh is super busy and can’t find good help is what he told me
