My vision of spending my rutcation in this saddle is really dwindling. Still holding out hope but it's getting tough.
 
I got an email from Josh’s wife today saying she sent an order confirmation email today about my suspenders telling me to check my spam box. Needless to say nothing. Why not just send the confirmation in the email she sent?? I still may order a saddle to try but not till at least after the season.
 
I gave up on them and cancelled my order. Mainly because of the extremely slow and tedious communication I’ve had to deal with. I shouldn’t have to send several emails and texts for several days before I get a reply. I was never able to get any indication from them how much longer my order will take either. With so many other manufacturers out there right now that have equal quality products, much faster turnaround times, and answer emails in a timely manner, I see no reason to put up with such poor customer service and long wait time.

It’s their money, they can be upset if there is poor communication and delays, I would be too. That said, this has turned into a shipping timeline thread instead of talk about the actual saddle and gear. Shipping timeline stuff is typically reserved for the vendor threads.


Who here has received a saddle? Post some pics of it for us. Tell us what you like and don’t like. I’d love to read something besides shipping delays. I guess there is always the possibility that no one has got one yet haha.

They can be if they want sure. It was a suggestion. The guy obviously makes a good saddle and takes his time according to what I’ve read. Also the shipping delays have been well documented since July. So when a person orders in July on this forum that just got their order in September and a person orders end of September at the opening of deer season, it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to tell you it’s gonna be a while. Also nobody likes a thread of complaints.

That said I too am more interested in more people’s actual opinions of the saddle itself, the ones that have received it. Not that I’m in the market.

We can go round and round here. These folks have been given estimated order completion timelines, which haven't been met and with poor comunication as to why. What else do they have to go on?

I don't see a bunch of unreasonable concerns being voiced. Correlating similar delays between July orders and September orders seems logical, but there could also be any number of reasons production could/would run on entirely different timelines. We could speculate, but it's rather elementary my dear Watson.

There's really not much more to talk about at this point other than delays and poor customer service.

Does it mean the product sucks, NO. But, "The guy obviously makes a good saddle" remains to be seen, en masse. We suppose it to be true, but the glowing reviews rely on the product coming to market.

Until then, I get why consumers who take a manufacturer at their word get upset when what they've been promised and are relying on proves unreliable without reason or communication.

Hopefully, they'll get caught up and alls well that ends well. We've seen another quality company disappear on this same trend in Catalyst.
 
It’s a shame to see the delays being mentioned here. In my opinion this saddle is worth the wait. I have probably close to 50+ hours in mine at this point and I still have no complaints other than the leg straps being too long…which I will cut down when I remember to.

For what’s it’s worth I sold off all of my other saddles and this is the only one I have right now.

I hope that he updates his site and provides a more realistic turn around time because it’s always better to under-promise and over-deliver. I talked to him on the phone this summer and of course this is only one conversation but he sounded like an honest guy so I am sure this is a case of ‘production at scale’ issues rather than trying to swindle people. Maybe he’d be better off holding a smaller deposit up front too instead of people shelling out the full price and having to wait 8+ weeks.
 
I have had a saftey harness made buy them and they were awesome on building what i want.

Its perfect.
Highly recommended company from me.

When you order something thats in huge demand a month before the season or during the season your gonna wait.
Especially when its only one or two people running things.
Con peeps have a little patience.

go order a couch or a piece of furniture right now like im going through. 6 month wait.
We are sitting on crates in our new home.

When your furniture doesn't come in 6 months, and all you've got is elevator music to go on and those crates to look at for the next 3 weeks...patience.

He/they could just reach out to everyone and say, hey, here's the deal. You know, be transparent and reset expectations.

Business is about more than the product. Delays aren't new in this industry, and companies that handle them well earn some respect and positive reputation.

Sounds like the product will speak for itself.

But this isn't a customer issue, and anyone who thinks that's the case doesn't have a stake in the game.

Glad you got your safety harness in two weeks though.
