Florida Take Care - Hurricane Ian

I'm about sick of the news telling everybody every single storm is the biggest, most deadly, ever in recorded history.....they so full of shiz

While we're at it.....how about the A holes at home Depot buying 4 generators at the same time.....jerkies, if it gets crazy I'm coming for ur generator first and taking it before u can try to gouge a working family who cant just buy generators on a whim ...like robin hood

Well, they got lucky....a family member was able to walk down their street. 12" of water in the garage, 6 in the laundry room, 3 in the living spaces. A bunch of stuff trashed outside, boat sideways on the lift(it had 2 25,000lb crank straps holding it on, one must have bustd and it spun.....The boat annopey/awning are in a tree about 400yards down the shore.....could have been a lot worse! Hope everyone else is fairing ok!!

I’m really sorry to hear about your family’s home. This one was horrible for south west Florida. Ft Meyers beach is gone.
Up here in NE Florida, St John’s county flooded and some of the pier was damaged. At my home, we had water in the garage a couple inches deep. The back yard water level was over 2’ and we had some fence go down. Overall we were fortunate that it kept tracking easterly. Now we pray for N E GA and South Carolina.

Thanks, appreciate it.

I unfortunately spoke to soon...it looks like the water had resided to about 3 in the house as of yesterday, that wasnt the mas level.....one of the bar stools had water staining up to the foot rest, so more like 16-18" in the house, maybe double that in the garage.

yeah, Ft. Meyers is a total wreck. Glad you didnt get hit too bad, regardless of what the experts say, its always somewhat of a roll of the dice.

Thoughts are definitely with those who still might be impacted.
