Food in the stand

Thanks, you too on the good job and it ain't always easy.I took my wife on a cruise in June and had 10 days of cruise ship food including ice cream every day but just a little bit and gained 5 lbs but it was worth it. Ive got about maybe 9 more to go and ill be where i want.

I was keto from Superbowl to the Bass Opener. Hard for a canuck to not drink copious beer in a hot summer. I used to get migraines from not eating. With keto I did the ol' 16-8 intermittent fast during that time too. I did not get a head ache at all from that. Now that Fall is almost
here I will be going back to keto and am already fasting 4 times a week. I actually plan to use the fasting time for when I hunt. I guess I'm not positive it will work but I want to try it. Fasting is easier when your busy.

Caffeine is a must for me sadly. On a recent trip to Chicago I found a Mio with caffeine and vitamin B in it.... smells sweet. I may use that instead of coffee. Although coffee first thing is a must along Apple Cider Vinegar. Gets things moving so I don't have to figure out a way to take care of #2 20ft up.

I've had them. To me all whey shakes are about the same taste-wise. The thing about ensure is that they're packing a stupid amount of calories in that small bottle. The new ones have 350 calories in a 4oz bottle. That's the reason I carry them.

I did not know that ... sugars aren't too bad either...probably just enough to keep me from eating my arm.

I believe in staying well hydrated and well fed if I’m doing an all day sit. Besides the sit and wanting to stay comfortable my walk in and out is usually quite significant with the bluffs where I’m from. After a long hike in, even if I’ve had a good breakfast, I’m usually hungry after the morning rush hour. Also, being generally cold around here food keeps the engine warm and likewise the body. So, a couple sandwiches (usually peanut butter and jelly) some dry aged sausage, trail mix and plenty of water.

I been doing almost keto for about a year and a half,I do a premier shake in am... chocolate and at 1030 eat a cheese stick and a slim jim and I'm good till 12 with water. It works for me.Last season I was 244 and today I'm 159 and I know 1 thing it's a lots easyer to get 159 in a tree than 244
Congrats on the weight loss!!!

Thanks for making this thread I have been thinking of what to bring for food I’m gonna try to get a few all day hunts in this year last time I did it I had about 10 large jerky sticks and 2 water bottles a sweet tea and one 5 hour energy with me. I like the idea of bringing Peanut butter and eggs that’s some good protein

Coffee and Pbj or gorp for me. Coffee is an appetite suppressor for me for some reason??

Dehydrated apples are a favorite. Core them, use a cheese slicer, dip them in cinnamon/sugar and dehydrate. Makes a great snack and the wife doesn’t complain about stinking up the house ;)

The kids yogurt / fruit snack pouches are quick easy too, just not the baby food ones.

I usually take peanuts or an apple. For all day it is hard to beat peanut butter and jelly.

Uncrustables are the jam. Especially early season afternoon hunts. Throw them in the backpack frozen. A couple hours later they are really cold (if not a little frozen in the middle) and taste so good on those warm afternoon hunts.

Wawa’s cold kiosk is dope for some quick protein and high-nutrition calories. Grab some of those pinwheel wraps and throw them in your pack. I also cram some of their chicken bites from the hot kiosk if I go in the afternoon, but those pinwheels and soft pretzels are good all day for caloric support. Fruit and nuts once in a while. Apples are my jam.
