I found this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. It’s an archery training band from Southland Archery Supply, basically a power band that fastens to a simulated bow handle. Have used it for about a week and really like it, works good for form and back tension workouts. I keep it beside my chair, while watching tv when commercials come on I grab it and stand up and do some form work until my program comes back on.0C88A9C9-1F09-4D9C-B21A-FF17BA4AC659.jpeg

Seems like a useful training tool. Do you pull back and release, or just pull back and let down?
Right now I just pull back to anchor then push/pull through back tension then let down
. I haven’t got brave enough to try the release yet thinking it could give you a good slap on the wrist.

These are pretty good. A little pricey.
I think there are some Youtube vids showing how to make a diy version.
I have one of these but I don't use it as much as I should. Useful device. ( Trad only, not for compounds)

I use the MD50 Shot trainer and the release trainer as well……not as much as I should however.A18CAB64-9B8C-4EBC-AF9A-C24D1F6AE816.jpegA18CAB64-9B8C-4EBC-AF9A-C24D1F6AE816.jpeg

This thing is the heat. It will show you immediately if you’re using proper back tension or not. If you’re not…you’ll slap yourself in the face. If you are, you’ll feel it in your back and the arrow will come off the bow clean.
