I'm trying out #129 single eye knut H, if I had eye to make it an enzyme would I bring the eye around the left side and clip both eyes? Also does this hitch usually self tend ?

Yes, tied the same, the left is either the stopper, or an eye. They self tend.

Last year I ran the soft stitch. Worked well.
This year I want to go with the stitch with the ring. This would be on 9mm canyon elite. Are you guys having someone build you eye to eye hitch cords for the stitch? If so, how long do you recommend that works?

I use 6mm TRC and tie a figure eight and stopper knots on the backside of the rope. I have tied one with a 7mm VT prussik also and it worked well. I gave it to a relative not comfortable with tying his own ends.

Generally, 26”-28”, depends on cord diameter, bigger needs longer. How stiff it is near the eyes also has to be figured in.

The factory length 7mm VT Prusik (33") seems to work well with the ring. I have also used the 5.5mm 60cm Beal Jammy slings, and some Bluewater sewn 7.5mm Hybrid.

It sounds counterintuitive, possibly, but I would consider Sterling RIT 6.8 (being a hollow braid). Another option could be Beal 5.5mm (Jammy, or Jammy material).

Use the 6 mm cord for the hitch on 8 mm linesman.

I know your on the ground but the binner is not shut. Have you tried the kraken or soft stitch hitch? I am using the soft stitch on my bridge and love it!

Ended up just using another 6mm rope for the eye to eye, swabisch hitch with a tender. Works perfectly fine! Will save a lot of room in the pouch.

I have done it with the distel but prefer JRB Ascender or Soft Sticht

Nothing comes close to the soft sticht hitch in performance! 6mm trc on almost any 8-9mm rope! Its only drawback is that its not easy to tie on and off ultra quickly like the Longhorn agile..... but if you learn it(soft sticht) you'll just keep one on every rope and tether/LB ....Once it's tied on it never tightens/binds up!

Is this safe to do with these cords? Or does the eye need to be fairly strait?
Pretend the cup cake is the tree and I loaded it up tight.

Neat idea! That looks flexible, it might cinch up all the way to the eye. No problems doing it, there is only the strands and the buried cover in that section.
Thought of this using just a rope and cord, no spliced or sewn eyes needed. Large eye to drop ascent system through, and tightens up to keep it from drooping when not loaded.

John..have you tried the Kraken this way? I have been testing it for a few climbs so far it tends pretty well. Hunters bend for the caribinner loop then take the tails and make an overhand
