From Day Six

Hype begets hype. I tend to agree with some of his concerns with conservation and I always say let someone have their opinion(s)..... as long as they are derived (mostly) with facts. His orientation generally isn't wrong but again we are making judgements about others..... something we are not supposed to do. Its better to worry about the person you see in the mirror every day more than trying to bring down others..... I like Matthew 7:3, and I apologize if I'm offending everyone..... it says" And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?" We as hunters need to lift each other up and remove the judgment. I think our Department's of Environmental Conservation or DNR's or whatever they go by have, by in large had a pretty decent overall history of reacting to wild game issues and problems. We may not always agree with the how (see Wisconson and CWD) or (PA, Gary Alt and Antler Restrictions) but after all the emotion and opinions..... for the most part these agencies have done good. I say we concentrate on what we do and support each other. Not tear each other down.

I kind of found that article to be a bit preachy and opinionated and with the exception of labeling turkey hunting as a "participation trophy" it doesn't really bring anything new or mind blowing to the table.

Out of morbid curiosity I took a peek at the other "blog" posts on their site. They all appear to be written in the same style and tone... shocking.

Honestly I don't think any of it holds much weight. I care just as much what Dodge thinks about how I drive my Chevy as much as I care what Day 6 thinks about our hunting habits.
