FYI on the USPS

We get 20 to 30 packages a week in this house currently, small stuff from USPS has been running 4-5 days late but it gets here, my only big package with USPS has been missing since June 29, UPS and fedex have been ontime or early. I think big packages and the USPS is not a good idea right now, I don’t know how these rural mail carriers do it, there cars are stuffed to the ceiling with boxes, mine said she is retiring ASAP. If you look on the Ebay forums Dano there is a lot of sellers that are having major problems right now with USPS, they ship items, tracking dissapears, paypal makes them refund the purchase and half the time the recipient still gets the package later on. The new USPS “boss” made some critical changes at a bad time and it wasn’t smart in my opinion. I think most people don’t want to pay a dollar more shipping than they have to, until they get burned once like me LOL then that dollar or 2 becomes irrelevant, everything I have ordered from you has been on time, thanks for the great service!

Since this is the vendor access area, I hope its ok to throw this out there. I've been having horrible service from the USPS due to the pandemic right now and I'm researching other options. Its not my local PO, they are great, it is the Detroit distribution center. I'm starting to ship my larger packages via UPS, but the sub 2 pound packages are going to be so much more expensive to ship. I may include an option for shipping smaller packages via UPS but its going to be a flat rate of $8.99 or so compared to USPS rates of $3.49-$6.99. Is is worth it? Would you all pay more for better delivery options?

USPS is four weeks to go from Michigan to Ontario. I am 1.5 hours from Michigan.
But, with USPS there is often no duty and if there is brokerage fees are low. With UPS, the brokerage fees are ridiculous

I think you should relocate! I just picked up a house next door to us here in KS and will let you stay there. Only payment will be a high discounted rate on gear! Stuff is in out of Kansas City and Wichita super fast!

For Canadian shipments I'll be sticking with USPS for this reason.

Kansas? Maybe Wyoming or Montana but couldn't do Kansas. Can't re-locate now anyway unless I want a divorce!

When I talked to my local post master 2 months ago because of 2 packages just sitting at the Detroit/Allen Park hub she told me that all within state mail has priority and mail leaving or coming into the state gets sorted when they are caught up with in state mail. She said other states were going through the same thing, and the covid, shutdown have also affected things. I understand that but still frustrating when anything I've received or shipped from UPS and somewhat FedEx there hasn't been a issue.
