Gear Strap from the Saddle?

for the gear line, I've tried a few things. find this one best for me. Amsteel Gear Chain with Nite Ize Camjam. Light/packs small and holds a tonne of gear. https://customamsteelproducts.com/products/hys-daisy-chain

for bow, again have tried a few things including a quick release paracord loop. Hero clip is simple and works really well for me. put some tape on it, secure, silent, speedy. had to get the alliteration in there. https://myheroclip.com/

If you’ll use the search feature, you’ll only find about 1000 threads on this topic…….I may have even started a few. =0)
Just poking BTW! I like the nite ize jam cams for small diameter cord like paracord. I first used paracord but got a small spool of 1/8” amsteel and made mine out of that. Put a loop on one end and thread the jam cam on the other,….put a stopper knot in or you’ll lose it though…..toss around the tree the jam cam and clip into loop, pull tight!
Lots of options for hanging clips you can attach to that cord. I started with and still use S clips. I just pinched the small ends so they wouldn’t come off. A while back I bought some clips I thought I could attach to my saddle and hang my platform to…….they were too small, but turned out to be perfect for my gear strap. I’ll get a picture of it.

Those big S hooks are2 for the bow on one side of tree, and the other for my pack which hangs first. My calls and range finder etc hangs from the small clips……small paracord loops go on everything. Your welcome! I’ve used several different gear straps, but this one will remain.

This is the best way I have found. Hardly takes up any space, the HYS strap is bulky. With a couple S biners & a hero clip for the bow. Can use one of the CamJams or I just put the tag end through the loop that makes it tight to the tree & hang my pack on the tag end so it keeps it tight. Works perfect.

Pretty cheap to buy or you can buy the materials & make one yourself really easily, that's what I did.

After a few other set ups I’ve settled on this one:
bwd Gear/Bow Combo Hanger - ON Your Tree in Seconds - NO Plastic Parts - Public Land Legal - The #1 TREESTAND Hanger in The Deer Woods! https://a.co/d/bVkxoFE
I use this one as well. Love it. Only the one I have only has the smaller hooks. I do not have the larger hook used for bows. Never had a problem hanging my bow or rifle from smaller hooks.

I picked one of these up after trying a buddies pocket DewClaw. It seems very solid and easy to deploy.
I went with the regular DewClaw ( about 6.5” long ), is much larger than the pocket version . I do like that the regular releases easily from a recurve vs a heroclip, and has room to work well during any season . The pocket version is much easier to fit in well, a thigh pocket. Seems more efficient than a screw in as well.

I like that it is just as fast to put on the tree as it is to wrap it up and its one of the smallest footprint ive seen.. it fits in the bottom of my dump pouch and my rappel rope and everything else still fits in the pouch easily.. the other thing is since it is self contained i dont have to clip anything else to it or have to worry about dropping hero clips and such

I bought this late last season and I have been very pleased with it. The bow hook on it is great as well.

I also use this GHOAT strap. I like suspenders so this made sense. But I also have an amsteel daisy chain with camjam in my bag. I have used the big whitetail dreams gear strap, that is nice but packing is not stellar

That’s a sweet setup!
