Do you wear gloves while climbing?
What gloves do you wear?
I wear Mechanix gloves when climbing for the reasonable dexterity they provide. What does everyone else use?

Yeah tender office hands on cold metal is no bueno.

I get whatever is on sale. I got through a lot of work gloves and usually just grab whatevr pair of those is laying around for the hike. I like the rubber dipped gloves if there's moisture, but I wear whatever.

In the tree I usually swap out for wool glommit things.

Fixing to hunt some powerful cold this weekend for the MD opener, might even break out the muff.

I Like The Green Wool Liners From Surplus Store. I Use a Muff for Colder Weather.

I hate gloves. Can't do squat with them on and never found a pair that kept my hand warm enough to warrant the lack of dexterity. If/when I do wear them they are fingerless wool with leather palm and I have a hot hands pack in each pocket. This is for climbing up, rappelling down and while up and hunting. If it's 40 or above, I go no glove till I get set and in the tree.

Those are really good.

If it is not super cold but it is wet and the water will drain heat, I like to wear thick nitrile/latex glove (Venom brand etc) and then a thin glove overtop (gardening gloves etc). I looked for durable and waterproof thin gloves, but all the ones I found were too expensive and would fail and let water in.
