Good question...im following for feedback. I've wondered the same since Latitude sticks have the added glow in the dark possibilityCan whitetail see glow in the dark tape (greenish/yellow)? I just found a roll of it from temu in my wife's errrrrr my diy crap basket.
It would be on my aiders/sticks that I take in and out every trip. May put some tape around my cheap 15 dollar pin sight also.Is this something you'd put up an leave? If so I don't think it matters, if the tape is on the tree months in advance I'd think they would get used to it/ignore it.
That said I doubt they see/notice/care about it regardless
The only way to know is to try it and See what happens. If it gets you busted are are ok to live with the consequence? It would be on my aiders/sticks that I take in and out every trip. May put some tape around my cheap 15 dollar pin sight also.

Yeah, no problem there. The only way to know is to try it and See what happens. If it gets you busted are are ok to live with the consequence?
This is pretty fascinating. I figured their noses lead them to rubs before their actual vision.I don't think it would make any difference to a deer, but that's just my guess. My impression is they see in black and white and see colors in the blue spectrum. Also, there has been research lately that indicates they see into the infrared spectrum. Some researchers suggest that the exposed bark and sap from a fresh rub glows bright blue to deer during dawn and dusk light, making their rub lines look like florescent blue signposts in the woods.
I have flown in the dark paint on one of my sets of sticks. I haven't noticed a difference with them vs different sticks re: deer noticing them/me. It's usually my fatt butt moving in the tree that gets me busted. It would be on my aiders/sticks that I take in and out every trip. May put some tape around my cheap 15 dollar pin sight also.
