Picked up some glow in the dark paint the other day, it was like $2 for a bottle, I didnt expect much tbh. After a few nights of hitting it with a flashlight in a dark room and then seeing how long it glowed, decided it worked well enough for what it is. So today I cleaned and painted some of the ridges of the step on my EWO featherlight stick. I put both steps on top for ease of painting.

One pic with flash, other with no flash while it's under my desk. Next I'm going to clear nail polish them to protect the paint I think

Sally Hansen's "Hard as Nails" is a clear nail polish that is very tough - I own charter boats and we use it on trolling spoons to protect the paint.

I may have seen this idea somewhere before. LOL
Did mine two seasons ago and they still glow great. Sure is nice coming down the tree after dark.
oh for sure, its not my idea at all. i was actually looking at this stuff (below) to do them in next summer. From the reviews I've seen and read it seems to be almost extraordinary in both brightness and how long the glow lasts. This is only a pigment and still needs to be mixed with paint.

Seeing it there for a few bucks ,I wasn't out much if it isn't bright or long lasting, and i would find a neat idea around the house for the kids. Paint their names in their rooms or something. I was pretty impressed with this cheap glow in the dark paint from wally world. I have enough left I could probably still do something in the kiddos rooms.
