Not from a saddle and I am between owning one but super happy nonetheless!! Opening morning I set up on the edge of a drained beaver pond and a funnel. I didn't see a squirrel but decided I would hunt the area as it was loaded with fresh rubs and scrapes. I left my climber in the tree....backed out for some lunch and went right back in. About 15 minute before sunset I hear deer running in the beaver pond grass and turn to catch movement, I see the ne deer is a doe at 60 yards and can hear the other in the grass but it was tall enough I couldn't see what it was. I then see a tree the size of my calf start moving and bending over.... now I had a idea of what it was!!! So I get the rifle ready and as he started running her again I did my best to track him and when he slowed to a walk I shot him. He made it from the shot (60 Yards) to 15 yards where I put the last shot into him and dropped him in his tracks. I knew he was big but hand no clue how big till I rocketed down the tree in record time! I could see he was the big guy I have had trail cam pics of all year and he is a 15 point. After a bunch o hooting, hollaring and disbelieve my brother in law and I drug him from the woods. My biggest ever !!!
