Looking for ideas on lowering my bow and releasing it so I can bring the line back up, then I can use it to release my repelling line. Does anyone do this?

Could you lower it with your rappell line?

Been using a grapple hook for over 10 years. Always on my pack on a 3/8 rope. Easy on the hands, doesn't blow with the wind, and doesn't tangle on brush. I made mine by welding old s-hooks from broken bungees.

I use paracord twice as long as I need (60+feet). Put the bow in the middle of that line, lower it, then pull the tag end through. Seems like it would work with your release line tied to your repel line.

You could use paracord and lower your bow down with it then tie the paracord to your repel line. Repel down, untie bow pull repel line down. That’s what I wanted to do when I thought about repeling after a hunt

I lower my pack with my rappel line, then lower my bow with my retrieval line--you need one end of each on the ground anyway.
