Friday I went to a meeting only slightly related to my work.
There was a talk about a food item and it was stated that in my state you could only be convicted of misbranding an item if it was greater than 20% different than the stated weight. Obviously then it is in folks best interest to sell as 1 lbs. their items that are actually 0.8 lbs.
Does this apply to climbing sticks and is it why all major manufacturers claim their sticks are lighter than they actually are?
It would be interesting to see whether their lies are consistently a 20% lie.
