I love the over kill ones.
They can get really sharp.
Sent one of mine through both shoulders. Deer didn’t go 12 yards then tipped off a bluff 25 yards to a creek bottom.
When he was hit he was startled. But then sorta was ok, or so he had thought.

There is a reason each batch doesnt meet their specs. You might be able to visually see the error if you look down the edge too if you have a good eye. For example, my last batch all had the same fault: there was a big dip in the middle of the bevel ill take a pic to show when i get home later.

Tried to capture the pic you're looking for, but my phone camera sucks. I tried what you suggested on one edge with my Stay Sharp just to see what it looked like and there wasn't an obvious defect like you described. The drag marks seemed to be pretty even across the edge. The last batch I got were as dull as target points. These will easily shave hair. I don't have a scale, maybe someone who does could weigh them and let us know.
 
Seems the weight might be the issue with this batch. I got 3 and they came in at 194, 195, and 193.8

And I confirmed they are shaving sharp already. Not sure the weight will make a giant difference for my shooting skill level
 
Wow thats awesome. Looks like i missed out hahaha. oh well. I'm glad everybody got a good batch. ...next time i wont post it on saddlehunter!! lol
