Can anybody post positives and negatives for aero saddles vs h2.... having a hard time deciding

thanks much!

Maybe no one has had both. I have had a kestrel and flex. Well made fairly comfortable
My favorite this year was the JX 3

The H2 looks very good too. Never tried it though

I don’t have the aero but I do have the H2. I bought it over the aero because of the lower price and much faster turn around time. Also got it because it looked the most like the aero over the others with similar features. It also had a coupon things the mantis has but aero does not, such as the G hook leg straps.

I can tell you the H2 was plenty comfortable. I never had any issues at all with it all season. I’m sure the aero is great too but I would bet you would be plenty happy with an H2.

How do u like the jx3 over the traditional saddle? I’m on the list for jx3 but fear it’s to bulky... any info is greatly appreciated....

If you already carry sticks and a bow and a pack and a saddle and a platform, I doubt it is any bulkier or heavier.

It does carry's very well. I do not need a pack.
I don't find it bulky and I am sure you will like it for comfort.
I use fleece bags to carry anything I want on the hybrid.
I strap my bow to the back and stuff clothes between the seat and frame.
I put my sticks or stick between the seat and frame or attach them to the outside of the seat using the leg straps to hold them in place.
It is as wide as my shoulders but does add depth to my back. So does a pack though.
It is quiet as well.
No knee pads to carry or wear
I do use one pound of squirrel steps

I will give you my opinion since you asked. I have a kestrel, I love it. I hated the flex. I hunted one time in a buddy's H2 just to see what all the buzz was about. Here is what I liked, it was comfortable, the shape of it holds it in place not one time while hunting did I have to pull the saddle down. What I did not like.......well there is a list.
H2 lineman's loops suck, suck so much I would never consider ordering a H2
Belt. only adjustable on one side
Leg straps were cheesy
Molle Loops, this wouldn't matter if I had different pouches, my pouches have the 3 bar slider quick attachments, the molle loops on the H2 are loose my pouches fell off.
Single layer of cordura, seemed louder than my kestrel

If I were you I might wait till the Tethrd Phantom is launched and get some feedback on that.

Just wondering what you hate about the flex. I hate the floppy butt walking with it. I do find it more comfortable in the tree

There is a list of things I didn't like about the flex.
It didn't flex....stayed open, like you said floppy butt, its like wearing a diaper
Had a "gym bag" feel compared to the kestrel
I didn't find the flex any more comfortable compared to my kestrel...to each is own. Thanks to keto I am not a big dude. The kestrel is not perfect, the lineman's loops need to be larger and moved forward 4"

I guess we are all different which why picking a saddle is subjective and a personal preference thing

I hunted from a Kestrel the first year they came out and currently hunt from a Kite. Although, I haven't hunted from an H2 my father has one so I have at least held one and looked it over. My dad also hunted from my son's Kite for several hunts before he ordered the H2 so he has some experience in both. From talking to him and comparing both saddles I agree with almost all of what @onestringer said above.

My dad claims the H2 is as comfortable as the Kite but, he doesn't like the waist belt and will be replacing the buckle soon. This cost of replacing the buckle eats into the money you are saving with the H2.

Personally, I don't like the linemans loops or the single layer of cordura on the H2. Overall the H2 just doesn't feel or look as well built as the Aero products in my opinion. I think the Aero products are definitely worth the additional money.

Now if it was currently hunting season, I wanted to get in a saddle ASAP and their was a price difference and a big difference in wait times then maybe it would be a tougher decision but, at this time of year I would personally go with one of the Aero products.

Just got my h2 in the mail, the saddle at first impression is that it seems well built, the stitching at points seems almost overdone, like in the stitch below, which I'm fine with.
I see the belt as a positive, my previous saddle the belt wouldn't stay tight as I would like. Tighten it up and it stays.
Heath has been great to work with, and answer any questions I have. His product also comes with a 30day return I believe, but I won't be returning mine anytime soon.
I dont have any experience with the Aero, but I'm satisfied so far with my h2

I've had a kite and a kestrel flex. Sold them both now I have two h2 saddles. For me the h2 is more comfortable and seem really well built and still lightweight. LB loops are an easy fix I just shoved zipties in them to stiffen them up. As far as the leg straps I don't use them so that wasn't a problem. But definitely not saying I won't try a phantom or yarak if they come out!

I think he makes an awesome product. You have the camo pattern I wish was available at the time I ordered mine. Still works just fine though!

This is pretty close to my experience. The h2 fits ME very well. It does not ride up when I use it. I like the belt buckle a lot because it doesn't creep once I have it set. The linesman's loops need to be slightly bigger and much sturdier. I'm sure the next version will address this and I'll be ready to buy it.
