H2 Saddles "Slingshot" review

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my first saddle, after 3 years of sheer indecision. I went with the H2 for price and quoted wait times, since they all seem to be more or less the same concept. Their quoted wait times seem to be very accurate. They change daily on the website and it looks like mine will ship on Day 17, which is right when they said it would (about the middle of this week). I'm still trying to figure out the platform choice because everything I've read about is either out of production or on a 3-4 month wait.

I also went with the H2 being that I'm from Jackson Michigan...I always like to support my home state businesses when I can.... Customer service was amazing. I think I asked over 100 questions before I pulled the trigger and the owner was awesome at answering all of my questions. Couldn't have asked for anything better. If you're from the area (Southern Michigan). I have a Hawk tree seat that I have modified with LW standoffs that work awesome as a platform. Don't let any negative reviews on the tree seat persuade you....I was hesitant at first with the tree seat but after others informed me all I had to do was swap factory standoffa for LWs it is rock solid. Let me know if you're interested and in the area, you're free to try it out. I have a total of 4 so no worries if you want to give it whorl for a weekend. If you like it we can figure something out.

Just got mine today. I can already tell from 30 minutes I’m going to like it more that the TL ambush lite and sit drag (only two I’ve used.

I have been using my H2 for about a month now. I have four all day sits this week, and about 10 other morning or evening hunts on it. I bought it to have a backup and I love the thing. It's light and does exactly what I need. The only thing I don't like was mentioned previously in the thread. The lineman's belt loops need to be stiffer. It's easily remedied though.

How are you making lineman loops stiffer?

I went quick and simple. I added a piece of a stiff zip tie on the inside of the lineman's loops and held it there with duct tape. When I get a little time I will wrap it with some stiff cloth and sew it on. For now though the zip tie and duct tape works fine.

i'm going to try some rubber wire and electrical tape.

I agree I am going to do the same modification you did. I love the saddle way more comfortable than my kite and kestrel flex

Mine came with this. What is it?

Rubber wire and tape on the lineman loop. Used some hemostats to hold the wire center on the webbing.

Goes on one of your molle loops. You can use it to hold a stick while climbing or something.

One complaint with my H2 is how difficult it is to adjust the waist belt. Maybe it will break in with more use.

Interested in your mod for the hawk tree seat. I'm in the Lansing area. What bolts did you use to attach the standoffs? The LW are too short and the Hawks are too thick.

I use mine to hold the tow rope for my bow. I leave it attached to the saddle and tuck it into the dump pouch side pocket when done.
