Hamskea rest cord: vectran core/polyester cover 2mm cord: how to keep cover from slipping?

Also, where did you find the information about the timing and half the power stroke stuff. I’m not saying that is in correct, just didn’t see it in the manual but very well could have overlooked it. Mostly curious to see if I need to check my timing and dial it in.

i ended up using this stuff in 2mm

black wasn't availble, so i went with yellow

i soaked the yellow in black rit dye for synthetics over night (in room temp water) to take the brightness down a notch, it hardly did anything

i hope i didn't negatively effect the vectran, but it is still white and i think it will be okay, and the specs of vectran say it is highly chemically resistant and absorbs very little water

after setting it up and checking each day after shooting, i'm nearly certain it is the rubber dampener that has to stretch out over time because i just don't see this vectran cord with the way i'm attaching it creeping over time

i threaded the cord through the dampener and pulled with around 100 lbs of force and held it for a while (used leg muscles) and thing still stretches a little each time out shooting, like clockwork

This may be common knowledge to most but it wasn't to me. I called Hamskea to ask about setting the timing and the guy I spoke to was super helpful. With the bow in static position release the tension on the rest cord to the limb and mark the arrow where it rest on the launcher. Draw the bow back in the draw board to full draw and mark the arrow again where it rest on the launcher. Let it down, now measure between the marks and place another mark in the middle between those two marks. Re-tighten the limb activation cord and draw the bow back with the marked up arrow. The launcher are should reach the full up position at that middle mark of the arrow. If it does not simply move the limb activation cord towards the limb tip or further away from the limb tip to adjust the timing. He said that in 99% of cases that should be just right but there is always that case where slight adjustment is needed on way or another for a specifc scenario.

Again most may know this already but thought I'd share anyway.
