Hand sewing molle webbing to back pack

I dont know anything about sewing. But I feel with some molle webbing added to my pack it would be perfect. I don't care to sew anything else so buy a sewing machine seems to be a waste. I watchdd some beginner hand sewing videos...seems easy enough. Any hints or tips would be great
