Happy to be here, from Ohio

Welcome from Southeast Georgia.
I am a little jealous, as I have been Saddle hunting a few years and still don’t have my method ironed out. Don’t believe that stuff about a second job that is just a lot of crap.
The truth is you need a second and third job.
Enjoy and above all be safe out there.

“Ironed out” is probably a bit of an exaggeration, there are definitely plenty a wrinkles haha.

I started out with the theory that ‘one stick’ would be my standard climbing method. But after trying it out, that just felt way too sketchy with my novice skill set. I ended up falling into the SRT rabbit hole and have really enjoyed it. Now that the season is coming to a close, I finally feel like I’ve at least gotten the hang of saddle/SRT and am quite comfortable with the methods.

Like everyone here, I’ve discovered much of the fun with all of this is the constant refinement of our setups. Having a little background in climbing/decent systems has definitely helped as well.
