are any of the climbing method/saddle manufacturers/danO planning on going to the great american outdoor show? if there is enough a saddle presence there, i'd make the trip. it is the largest outdoor show east of the mississippi (at least last i checked). I believe wild edge is usually there.

Wild edge is there. One of the people that makes the drill for climbing bolts is there also. The company that makes the sit/drag is usually there too. I didnt see anything else there last year. It is a big show and would be easy to miss things though.

Id also love to have danO there with all of his cornucopia of goodies so i can buy way more rope , hooks, and parts than i really need.

Lol. I was actually there this year with a buddy helping him with his hunting clothing company - we were right behind Mark at Treehopper so we got to chat often. As mentioned George with Sit Drag was also there so I got to meet him. Wild Edge was the only other "saddle" company there as far as I remember, but I might be mixing my shows together. I have no plans to attend any shows next year as Eastern Woods Outdoors, only saddle demo days, etc. I'll be at SaddlePalooza and feel free to invite me to other events and I'll try to make them if possible. Trying to collect an assortment of gear from different manufacturers so I can have stuff on hand for folks to try out.

Doesn't look like it. We are doing the Iowa Deer Classic and some local shows in Michigan and that might be it. That Harrisburg show is a marathon of a show.

Ya I was wondering the same thing,Heading down haven't been there in a long time

A lot of us here think 100% of deer hunters know what saddle hunting is and want to get involved in it, but my guess is that we are still a very, very small percentage of the market!

Exactly. In Facebook I am in many hunting forums, and talking saddles is an upward battle! The Harrisburg show would be a good way to break into some of that.

Stop talking saddles. We need to keep this to ourselves.

You tell folks about saddles and they’ll come here looking for saddle specific knowledge. Once they get that they’ll dive into the plethora of quality tactical info. Once they get that they’ll be stealing your spots. Is that what you want?

Only 3 exhibitors listed under the treestands category. XOP, Wild Edge and another. I didn't look anywhere else.

Treehopper will be there.
Im betting Mark will have some eye openers.
Eye openers for sure! I went to the show yesterday and sat in one of his new Recon slings (improved Anderson). I wasn't expecting to like it, but I'm a try everything and make an educated decision kind of guy. Needless to say, it came home with me. I didn't expext it to be so comfortable. Test one out for yourself at the show. He also has his drill, bolts and the tree suit platform. Thinking i should of picked up a platform as well.

I was there yesterday. There were quite a few treestand manufacturers there. xop, lwcg, chippewa, summit, among a few others. Wild edge was there, treehopper was also there. If you are looking for broadheads, there were quite a few broadhead manufacturers there as well. overall, it was worth the trip and it was great to talk to a few of the vendors.
