Is anyone else having problems with these sticks as far as the male part of the suction cup breaking? What is everyone replacing this with to correct the issue that will work?

I haven't had one break; seems to be a more recent phenomenon. However, I put strips of furniture pads on the inside walls of the stand offs and they're just the right thickness to hold the sticks snug and prevents clanking.

All my male parts are broke, including the ones on my helium sticks. But seriously, yes had same issue. The d*** things got stuck in the plunger I could barely pry them apart. I broke two in the field first day out... then two more broke another time. I eventually took off the plungers and male ends and just replace the plungers with some rubber chair leg caps from lowe's to help cushion the sticks when I tie them together. Ie, those helium stick plungers suck a**

I am going to replace mine with these after season.

After reading about all the ways to fix the suction cup issue and breaking two of the male ends on the minis I have I decided to sand and shave my cups last night. I got a couple of the female cups trimmed with a razor last night and grabbed the dremel to sand the male ends when I noticed in my dremel kit I have a grinding wheel that's the exact size I need to basically plunge cut into the female side. I did all my female cups and now my stick fit together perfect and it takes a violent shake them apart. If I have three sticks stacked and hold the top one they will come apart if I shake them but I'll take it since I use a gear tie to hold them together anyways. I can measure the grinding wheel if you like.

I ended up using a pipe deburing tool on the female parts. They work good now. Just waiting on the male parts to come in from Hawk they are send me free of charge
