I’m looking to do the rope mod or get some amsteel daisy chains for my hawk minis also want to do something for my platform instead of the buckle strap that came with it

I've used this rope on three different sets of sticks, a predator platform, and a trophy line platform. It has worked well for me.

Did you use the hawk versa button if so how did you tie it on

Yes. I used the versa button just as it comes on the hawk sticks. I spliced a loop in the rope mod following the video below.

I attached versa mini straps because I’m a knucklehead and bought the wrong size. I love it! Take off button, attached mini strap. Then I do a rope mod style wrap around button. It’s good because I can’t lose the strap and wraps nice with that bungee.

1.75” gaps means it never falls off. It’s not as tight as a cam buckle but I’ve hardly had problems with it. I think it’s better than metal.
