I got my Mini this year and have not hunted with it. I already have a vortex crossfire crossbow that I want to put on.
I wanted to see who has the same setup, and how difficult it was to make the swap and sight in. I ask this, given the fact that the mount requires adjustment, as the reticle lighting know will be in the string path. The mount isn't very adjust friendly in that making adjustment aren't exactly precise. The factory scope is holding zero and all, I'm concerned about durability though. I know the old saying about fixing what's not broken, however I know from past experiences that I need to address my weak links before I learn the hard way that I should have made the change prior to the season..

I had the same concerns as you with the scope and the mount but actually, there is a lot of adjustability in the mount itself which I feel is excellently designed. I switched the stock scope out with a Bushnell Red Dot I had on hand. I know this red dot is tough as I used it on my 12gauge 870 pump with slugs for deer in the past and it holds zero well and that thing packs a wallop being a relatively light pump gun. Anyway, I started out at very close range in my basement this past early spring and just mounted the Red Dot trying to adjust just the front of the mount for windage and tried to keep the back as is right in the middle but I ended up moving that very slightly too. Trust me to get your optic at zero first than mount it to the mini and shoot at close range. You should be able to get you optic back to zero by putting a mirror up to it and looking through it and adjusting the crosshairs or the red dot until they come together.

Do the bulk of your adjustments by keeping your optic at zero and just adjusting your windage with the mount. Get that to shoot groups at 10 yards and then when it is grouping consistently, go out to 20 and start shooting. Mine was hitting high and to the right and I could have adjusted my mount elevation but I ended up just using the red dot adjustment to get it to group. I then backed up to 30 yards and it was hitting good at that distance too. My point is don't be afraid to get most of your adjustments with the mount itself and then just fine tune with your scope or red dot adjustments.
