Heated clothing

I’m about tired of this website costing me so much money! LOL I have a heated vest on the way and a heated hand warmer

I bought a California Heat vest at a show a couple years ago. It's the only one that I've ever owned so I can't say how it compares.
I like the heat of it but the battery connection is a little funky...gotta really be careful stuffing it back in the pocket or it can come unplugged. And the pockets for the battery kinda suck. Hard to access when the vest is worn under other layers. If it had a longer cord, then the battery could be stowed in the pocket of an outer layer.
Battery life is so-so. The vest had 4 settings. I can get about 5 hours on the lowest setting but that setting just takes the edge off of the cold. It doesnt actually feel warm when on low. The next warmer setting feels nice but the battery won't last as long.

The concept is good. Nice thin layer that produces heat. I probably should have shopped around and compared before buying this one.

It does have a lifetime guarantee on the wires which is good.

Anyone have issues with wires failing on other brands?

I picked up the Milwaukee heated sweatshirt. I already had a bunch of the batteries so I figured , why not? It's the only piece of cotton in my gear but I love it. I think I'm going to remove the sleeves and hood as I dont need the extra material there. High heat when you need it. As a matter of fact the high setting is almost too high. Medium setting is perfect for keeping me toasy and lasts a safe day hunt on Medium although I do turn it on and off as needed. I am a layers and wool guy and this soon to be heated vest saves layers. We had an unusual cold front come in a couple weeks ago and it was 27 and snowing (gets much colder later here but this was early for that) jacket kept me warmer than I was all last winter. No more chemical warmers stuck to my back or shoved in my shirt!

They make adapters forthe full size batteries as well if your going out for a long all day sit. I suppose you could just drop it in one of your saddle pouches if you went that route. Or just take 2 of the 12v

I have an iconx vest, I also have a dewalt heated jacket. The best is best as you wear it next to your skin. At a medium setting you can feel the heat and the battery lasts about 4 hours.
I've got 2 batteries, but like @AlleghenyTom if I want to switch batteries I have to dig through my layers to plug in the second battery. I'm sure if a guy shopped around you could find the cord ends that would allow you to build an extension cord and then carry the batteries in a more accessible spot.

I just received 2 one meter 12v extension cords from Amazon for like 6 lousy bucks. They will work perfect for relocating my batteries.

I got a heated vest from amazon last year, it uses just an ordinary usb battery. It is amazing, everyone needs one.

So after hunting with the new arris vest a few times, here are the pros and cons
Pros:
3 different heating zones
5 heat settings for each zone
Vest is warm just by itself
Decent battery life
Multiple size options
Has a usb plug (not sure if you can use a different battery with this plug)

Cons:
Batteries are big and bulky and expensive
On/off button on the battery is easy to press accidentally
Depending on how tight you want the vest to fit, one size fits all isn't much good for people under 6 foot 190lbs
Zippers seem a bit cheap

All in all I'd probably buy it again

Hot Hands adhesive cost about $1 each. I put one on my low back and keep my shirts tucked in. Works great, cheap and buy only what you need.
I used to load up all my pockets with hot hands but this year got the pnuma vest. The vest is nice, gets warm quick, but the battery life is only ok. I'm goin to be looking into getting a larger battery with longer life. I think the Ororo might work, even the Arris. Both have more life than the pnuma battery. I just got my wife an Ororo vest so I'll be testing to see if it works with the pnuma soon.

I also have the Pnuma & love it. Adds no bulk but keeps you from having to wear extra layers. I wear a good base layer, the vest then an insulated layer to keep the heat in. Works great.

Another vote for the Pnuma vest. Been using mine for almost two full seasons now and no complaints other than the battery life but not really a big deal with a spare. Would be nice if they had a higher capacity battery or at the very least allow you connect both at the same time for extended life.

Waiting for the extra vest batteries to go back online. I love my pnuma vest

I prefer cotton vests by Snow Deer, Global Vasion, SVpro they work well if don't get wet.
So far, my cotton vest by Global Vasion seems well-made. The price is ok, comparing to other vests costing extra $20 or even more. The most useful feature EVER is that this vest can be powered by any "power bank" that supplies 5V/2.1A, so I can use the bank I already have as an additional power supply.

Fit: for the record, I'm 6'2" and 235 pounds with pretty big shoulders. That said, the XL (the regular size I would usually buy in shirts/jackets) is about as snug as I would like. I don't mind it being snug in this case as the vest is meant to be an undergarment. I'm not ripped but I am reasonably fit: the arm holes are more tight than I'd prefer. If you have really big shoulders, this could be an issue. As the benefit: the length of the vest is perfect for my height, riding a couple inches at the top of my pants.

https://wildproofgear.com/best-heated-vests/ - sure there are many more intriguing options you can try suggested by pros, but I'd definitely say this particular heated vest worth its money.
