So my friend is selling his heater body suit. A while back I thought they would be useful but don’t see too many people using them anymore. Do you think it would be worth having one compared to investing in something else like Sitka fanatic?

I didn’t care for the heater body suit but I am crazy about my Iwom, you just don’t get cold in that thing, it packs up great and has sleeves so you can shoot without unzipping to take the shot.

I really like my HBS!! Nice to walk in with light clothes and never worry about getting cold. Zippers open quiet and I just like it. It is nice to carry one item to battle the cold instead of multiple pieces of clothing to do the same thing.
One down side is I’m so warm and cozy it’s easy to call knap time.

I love my IWOM, I'd highly recommend one. I've never hunted elevated out of one and I could see them being a pain to put on while elevated but then again the small struggle would be worth it if you're warm.
I stayed plenty warm hunting off the ground in the IWOM with thermals, pants, hooded sweatshirt, stocking hat and wool glove liners down to 0°F. I'm sure colder temps would be possible but I never had the chance to hunt any colder than 0°F.

I’ve used mine exclusively with my saddle and don’t have any problems getting it to work with the saddle. I usually wear it like a parka with my detachable bridge already run through the zippers on the sides, when I get up the tree I just unbuckle the strap around my waist and let it slide down to my feet, step in, zip up and let the warmth keep me comfortable! I find it best when using a platform rather than just a ring of steps though.

I used my HBS for 2 yrs out of the saddle. I cut slits for the bridge to come through & wore it underneath. I finally caught an iwom on a great deal 2 years ago. It’s a great improvement (depending on climbing method) I put it on at the base of the tree & climb up (usually sticks or bolts set them first ) I did have to modify the upper handwarmer pockets by cutting the inside out & stiching back up. I prefer having sleeves vs unzip to come out for the shot. But both are equally warm just different approaches. Can’t climb with the HBS though.
