Heater style body suits

There customer service is like none other though, the guy I bought it from was great, yes that was my thought a biner on one side.

I tried an IWOM. Can’t really move your feet around inside and the sleeves were extra baggy. I was not a fan. It was pretty warm though. It was literally a sleeping bag with arms.

I don’t remember sorry.

Yes, it looks to have slits in the perfect spot for a bridge, mine is an Iwom xt, I have never used it yet so I can’t speak to how good it is but I did a ton of research before buying it, a friend of mine has one and likes it, I will know for sure in a few months, I have a lot of hardware in me, screws, plates and stuff along with other old injuries and arthritis so I can’t take the cold anymore like I used to, if you have any more questions feel free, I know there super expensive and it sucks buying something you can’t try first, just let me know!

You cut off the feet so you can walk in wearing the HBS? And the 10 inch zipper was at waist level for the bridge (assume wearing the saddle inside the HBS)?

Oh heck no...I'm not wearing that sucker in anywhere. I cut the feet off so that there wasn't so much padding on the predator. Made it unsafe to walk around on. Plus, I could wear it for one sticking if I had to.

What kind of zipper did you use on it. I been thinking about doing that so I will have to find a seamstress to do it. I'm leaving the feet and going to put some type of booty over the foot so I don't wear it out on my Predator platform.

I called HBS and explained to them what my plan was and if I could get a zipper (full length from them and a couple of zipper heads.) They were more than helpful. Worked great...just remember that if you alter your HBS the warrenty is gone. I've had mine now for over ten years...predator brown if that tells you anything. I'm no longer worried about the warranty.

I talked with HBS and asked if they would do custom orders, priced accordingly of course. They said there shop will not do custom orders. She asked me "Are you a saddle hunter".
She did mention that in their opinion the two way zipper is not a good option as some the zipper will tend to open up and release heat.

Same hear . All I want to do is put two zippers for my bridge or maybe velcro . I think zippers would be the way to go. Mine suit is in Predator camo. I bought it before the did away with Predator but now I see it's back in fall gray.

If the zippers slide down then I'll put some velcro on the inside and attach velcro material to the zipper and hold it "up."

Zippers aren't really necessary. The first pic below is my HBS. I cut two small slits into each side for my bridge to pass through and then used some felt to sew around the edge of the slits. The second picture is my son's HBS that I bought from a member on here a couple of years ago, he covered the slits with a square piece of fabric. Doing it this way requires a removable bridge but, if you have a saddle with a fixed bridge it is pretty simple to make an extra removable bridge to use when you are using the HBS.

So looking at a lot of videos, the IWOM has has two "side access" pockets with zippers, for use as just side pockets but also
have a hole or slit on the inside that allow access to inside of the suit (assume pant pocket of the pants you are wearing inside the suit). Would require a bridge with at least one removable end, but seems like a viable option. Someone with an IWOM, how big are these openings in the side pockets? Since the side pocket has a zipper I would think you could minimize heat loss, pass the bridge through the slit, zip pocket shut as much as possible, just not sure if their location and opening size would be viable for saddle bridge.

It’s not a huge hole, but definitely big enough for oplux or similar size material to go through, a biner wont fit, I’m just gonna leave a second bridge with biners on my Iwom somehow when the time comes, I will thread some oplux through the 2 holes your talking about and tie biners on each end once the oplux is inside the iwom and just leave that bridge on there, it should work perfect

Where on the HBS are the slits located? Does your bridge pull the front of your HBS up?

Has anyone tried this?

I have the hbs and modified it for saddle use. A platform is needed in my opinion to put it on in the tree. It works great. The negative for me is when I take it off I get cold walking out. I dress light for freedom of movement to shoot my recurve. I don't really hunt much late season anymore, probably sell it.

Would you share your mods? Pics would be great.

Correct. The slits are located on the front at the location of your bridge loops. My normal bridge is fixed at both ends so I have a second bridge with a carabiner on each end that I pass through the slits and attach to my bridge loops.

I agree with @kenn1320 above in that a platform makes it easier to put it on in the tree but, I have put it on while standing on a ring of WE steps on several occasions and think I could do it on my Tree hopper ROS but, it would be a little tricky.
