Hello all from Michigan, I am excited to join this group. I have had many years of private farmland and a 150acre family plot in north-MI but now have focused on blazing my own trail on State and Federal game properties that are abundant. I attempted run&gun with platform/stick set-ups but honestly hate the process and weight.

So I found my way here and have already converted the college kid's room into a maker space. I have an HD thread slinger in front of my wife's sewing machine, and I am in the process of pattern development. I often tinker and make, and much prefer DIY'er activities; I have made many hammock shelters and amsteel mods, to pack lite. I have read some great information here so far, and look forward to sharing my personal experience in moving to a saddle and possibly one sticking set-up.

Cheers, outdoors friends,
Steven

Welcome!

I'm in the greater Kalamazoo area and have recently started hunting public lands more as well. Always been a private land guy but exclusively during gun season. Utilizing the public land has given me much more opportunities to get out mainly because bow season is longer and the land access is closer.

There are a ton of DIY guys on here from minimal tinkering to complete saddle setups and everything, I'm sure you'll find some useful information =!

Hello from northern Michigan!
Nice setup.

Welcome from Texas. Your work space looks much nicer than mine. I have been banished to the garage due to the baby, but hope to regain inside status in about 18 years when he leaves the nest. Good luck and keep us posted.

Welcome from Maryland, you sound like you just got done shooting a commercial about parents sending their kid to college and renovating their old room. I look forward to it in 20 years myself!
