Hello from MN

Thanks for the welcome. More Minnesotan's than I was expecting! I'm in the SW metro (Carver Co). I've got access to some farmland but it isn't spectacular so I've been doing MBRB (Org in the twin cities metro that does deer removal with volunteer archers) with my climber and it was limiting me on exactly what tree I wanted to be in. I was fairly quick with the climber but I can see the saddle is going to be much faster quieter and less effort. I think I will miss the lazy boy aspect when it comes to nap time though!

I'm practicing saddle in the yard until I get more used to the system. Amazing all the things you don't think about until you're out there scratching your head! I've got some ladder stands up on the farmland until then.

No need to miss nap time. Get a JX3 and nap all you want!

Nice. I had my first weekend with MBRB this past weekend.
Yeah? I have been hunting the Kelleher (Burnsville) hunt the past few years but decided to take this year off MBRB all together. I think this is the 1st year they are allowing saddles across the board, right?

Why didn't they allow saddles, safety reasons?

Ah nice. I’ve been wanting to try that one, but can never qualify as sharpshooter when it counts! I’ve hunted Cleary the last 4 years. I’m in apple valley so both are close.

Correct, saddles are finally allowed. I never really understood their safety argument against them, but the TMIA certified thing always seemed to be a sticking point. It was great having my spot set up in 45 minutes this year, and that’s counting a 10 min walk in and out!
