Folks, this guy has more outdoor gear than most retailers.
That's cause I was a buyer for what used to be the largest wholesale distributor in the US....and a professional guide....Lots and lots of samples....and lots of prodeals....

And you definitely don't want to know how many pairs of skis i have...

I just placed an order on a mini this afternoon after talking with Jerry. I'm pretty excited as I've been lugging around a heavy Barnett xbow since 2010. I've been due for an upgrade. I was planning on buying a mid range Ten Point, but stumbled upon this thread and liked what I saw!

I have a pile of 125 grain spitfires. Does anybody use a 125g broadhead with the supplied arrows?

Has anyone done any bare shaft tuning for broad heads with your Hickory Creek Mini. I zeroed my new bow at 30 yards about two weeks ago. This morning I decided to see how my Magnus Stinger Buzzcut, 100 grain, broad heads would perform. So at 20 yards I shot one field tip and then one broad head. The broad head shot 3 inches to the right. I moved back to 30 yards to check zero and discovered bow was shooting low with field tips. I suspect the new string has stretched accounting for the bow shooting low. I have rezeroed, if thats even a word, at 30 yards. Moved back to 20 yards and shot field tip and broad head. Again, broad head 3 inches to the left. No surprise there.

I'm thinking that the arrows are coming out funny and the whisker basket needs adjustment. I'm assuming it needs to be moved slightly to the left. I have never done any bare shaft tuning, but I'm thinking that might be worth my time and effort to adjust left/right and up/down. I'm not a bow shop kind of guy. Just like to hunt and kill stuff. Any help and or suggestions would be appreciated.

My old one needed a few very minor adjustments & everything was shooting close to same point of aim

Shot field points, some Montec g5, slick tricks original, slick tricks magnum, rage hypodermics & rage extreme

All in same paper plate at 80 & 90yds so I didn’t mess with it

Only thing we did extra that helped was to replace the front hand nut with a washer and real nut tightened snug with a ratchet

Some have drilled a second hole to provide even more consistent lock down up front

That tightened up groups

Nope. The carbons that come with it work fine for me! Though I did snag some rage hyperdermics on amazon for like $22/3 pack...will be first time shooting mechanicals...
There are a bunch of lungs behind the shoulder so no reason to shoot it. I think you’ll be happy with the hypodermics. Of course you have to shoot one first.
