High end products you can't justify

Yep, 90% of my hunting is done in Southeast GA. Primarily oak hammocks, pines, clear cuts, power lines. To me, a good pair of binos is almost useful in the thick stuff as it is in the wide open spaces. I have seen way more deer by using them to "glass" small openings in the brush and focus in on movement that isn't as visible to the naked eye.

Using them for turkey hunting has been a game changer also. They are an important enough tool to me that I feel naked if I forget them.
Where do you hunt if you live on the Island???

I want to do an elk trip BAD. I'm 32. Thinking seriously of a guided hunt to shorten the learning curve. Time is a valuable commodity to me.
My only advice there is the intent is to learn from a guided trip, choose your outfitter carefully so you actually end up with a guide that knows elk hunting in the style you want to pursue and not just a ranch hand that knows where some elk usually are on the property.

Not to get off the main topic of this thread but what about a fat tire mountain bike? I bought a used Felt 29 series last year for a steal and love that bike and I can pretty much ride it anywhere. I got a deal on my GT Karakoram that I had for 20+ years which was a great chromoly frame Mountain Bike with tapered tubes to keep it light and full Shimano LX componentry and it still held a decent value. I don't think I would splurge for an Ebike but what about a decent Fat Tire bike? Any of you used them and are they practical for hunting in the backcountry? To me, this may be a "happy medium" type investment but I don't know how well they go in mud and snow and hilly terrain which is what I have everywhere I hunt around my parts.
Yeah I considered rigging my Cannondale delta v 600 for a little gear hauling, maybe even Ebike it... Alas my toddler will have nothing to do with it
