For this project you need stencils of a tribal design. Black primer, earth brown and khaki paint and an item to paint.
Mask of all areas u don’t want paint (labels stickers etc) and paint whole item black

Second lay on first round of stencils then paint bow all earth brown (leave stencils on when I paint)

Wait for paint to dry the add next layer of stencils and paint whole bow khaki (again leave all stencils)

The. Wait for paint to dry and remove all stickers and there u go hillbilly Asat

That works! Would cost a little more but is probably less work to dip it. But would be challenging to get a good result without disassembly.

I did something similar to a shotgun. I used blue painter's tape, ripped lengthwise into irregular strips. Not suitable for Instagram, but it hides well enough.

I've done this with rifles and game trail cameras etc. Works great IMHO. Here is my "beater" .243 I kill everything with. The stock was originally just black. 2020 Gun 8 12122020.jpg
