Hit the mark...18.5% FOC

I also think the 200 will be fine on a 300 but your bow will tell you what it wants shortly and we shall all listen to what it likes.

Shot the 200 grain tip...put my FOC at 21.2% and arrow weight at 620 grains and the arrow flight was not great. The bow/arrow combination is better 150 and 175. The 150 grain has a FOC of 18.9% and the 175 has a FOC of 19.9%. I think I'll shoot the 150 and 175 for a few days and make a decision.

I’m shooting a day six 275 spine with 100 gr outsert and 125 head. Arrow is 3 fletched with wrap. Pulling 72 lbs with 29.5” draw. 267 FPS arrow weighs in at 615. Arrow is cut to 29”. I’ve shot the 125 gr iron will wide vented and the 125 gr solid and they both shoot excellent out to 50yds. Haven’t shot them past that yet.

Oh boy...just got my field tips tester kit...field tips that go up to 300 grains. Found that 175 grain tip will give me 19.9% FOC. Oh boy...I haven't sold off my broadheads as of yet. I love my Ironwills, but man they are expensive. I also love the tooth of the arrow...unfortunately ToTA does not have 150 grain, but they do have 175 grain. decisions/decisions.
How do you test with the field point kits? As in how do you figure out which ones is the ideal weight when you shoot it? Im new to this arrow stuff

Also, be sure to nock tune your carbon arrows as some rips will be just because you're not shooting it off the stiffest part of the spine of the carbon shaft. I was pulling my hair out kept getting tears no matter what. Started rotating the nock on my bare shafts a quarter turn each time until I got a bullet hole or close to a bullet hole. At this point, mark your nock and arrow so you know that the nock is oriented correctly to the stiffest part of each bare shaft. Then you can experiment with different point weights with your field point test kit. Oftentimes your bow will like a couple of different tip weights so if you already have 125 grain broadheads and require 225 grains total up front, you can just get 100 grain inserts and keep your COC broadheads you're using. This assumes of course that THE BROADHEADS You're using are COC and have great structural integrity. So full steel COC's or similar types of BH's.

Here are the results of my speed test with different weight arrows with my VX3. These were not tuned to the bow just rough testing.

Total WghtChrono
385302 fps
440284
460282
505264
593250 fps
Mine were similar by the time I got up to 653 grains my speed was a mere 239fps (top speed) around 237 for averages. I did clock one as slow as 234 fps. Still seems fast for the weight I am shooting though

Do u have 1 of those speed measuring machines?
Southern Sportsman on Arlington Expressway they have an indoor chronograph square with a large target wall behind it. It’s free if you pay for a couple hours of range time

I cut weight this year I was shooting a 620grn arrow last year and couldn't stand the trajectory, I hunt big woods and if a big buck is standing at 60 I wanna be able to kill it. I went to easton hex arrows with a 260 spine 75grn brass incerts and 150grn cutthroats and 150grn magnus stinger buzzcuts using 3 tac veins and 30 1/2 inch cut length it's got me at 17.6 foc and 531grn total still a heavy setup but now I'm shooting 260 vs 220 much flatter trajectory

heavier broadhead will be stronger and easier to sharpen.
