How do you accessorize your saddle?

I found a lite vest made by Scent Blocker and modified the hell out of it. Reinforced seams, added cordova 500 material to key points and added webbing.

I bought a Scent Blocker brand this year. Its the worst one Ive ever owned. I didn't notice how shallow the back pouch was. Lost a great vest out of it. Most the stitching has started to come out. Hunter Spec is the best one Ive had but it was the older models.

I feel like tool time with my saddle. Left side I have one kifaru large pouch. Underneath that I have my doyles hoist. Left side pouch: tether, linemans belt and bridge. Right side also have a kifaru large pouch. Inside there is my tether gear hanger, 10' webbing as a 2nd linemans belt or tether or whatever I want to use it for. Next to the right side pouch I have my rangefinder pouch and bino case on the loops.

I like your system. Couple questions: 1. Where did you get those mesh pouches? 2. Do you like the TL knee pads? I have a cheap set of knee pads and my knees still get sore and I have been considering buying your knee pads but I don’t want to strike out and have another pair I’m unhappy with.

They are just some pouches that ratchet straps came in from harbor freight. I’ve bought some that are similar in the camping section of Walmart. “Ditty bags”. They are certainly the cheapest pouches out there 4 or 5 of them was maybe 3 bucks. I like them though because they are quieter than a zippered pouch.

Yeah I’ve had them forever. Your best bet I would think would be some from Lowe’s or something along those lines that guys use to tile floors in.

I’ve thought about going completely empty on my saddle like a lot of you guys. I just don’t like needing a pack.

The one thing I would recommend to everyone is the bow holder. It carries a platform for you, and when your standing facing away from the tree for awhile it’s nice to be able to just set your bow on your hip.

Good idea with the ditty bags. I did go with the cheap Lowe’s type knee pads and I hate them.

I'm new to saddle hunting. Do you have any recommendations on the bow holder? I bought some of the extendable arms that screw into a tree, but like the idea of a hook on my belt.
Thanks!

These Arc teryx knock offs from amazon are what I’m using and they worked really well. They’re light weight, pack small, slightly tacky on the shell, and have no velcro. Several times I forgot that I was wearing them until I got back to the truck after a hunt.

I generally use 2 or 3 pouches. When I use 3 its early season and usually I can pack everything I need in them so no backpack. I have 2 loops of paracord or ball bungies for attaching sticks for the climb. I also have a plastic D clip to attach my platform while I climb. And lastly I add suspenders to all my saddles.

GI sustainment pouch on center rear of saddle containing linemans rope, tether and back band for lounging. Right hand ascender clipped to right side carabiner and Madrock Safeguard on left side carabiner. All set to climb SRT/ RADS.

Summit tree stand deluxe pouch on left hip. Replace zippers with sewn in shock cord. It Carries my tether, knee pads, kill kit, first aid kit and water bottle. Right hip is an Allen tree stand pouch. Has pull up para cord, 2 bullman outdoors steps on one strap for ROS, accessory holder strap and back band . Lineman’s belt stays Daisy chained to saddle and brought around my backside. Climb one stick with api huntin stick cut down and use the amsteel daisy chain as shoulder strap. I think i am going to try and just keep the bullman steps on my stick next year.
