I've ran a detached quiver for quite a while. Switching to a bow mounted removable quiver now and plan on removing it at the tree. See how that works this year.

I've always felt a bow mounted quiver especially with wraps on the arrow is like waving a flag at the deer when trying to get drawn. Anybody else noticed that?

Be interesting to see what you all are using if you don't have your quiver mounted to your bow.

As long as I’ve bow hunted, I’ve always removed it at the tree. Just easier and less to work around, even more important to me in the saddle

I use an old Kwikee Kwiver. I keep it attached at all times except for one time last season. Never again will I take it off. I was set up on the ground. My arrows were hitting brush so I removed it and set it beside me. A 150-160” 10 came in behind me so I had to spin around. I hit a limb with my shot and missed. The deer didn’t move so I was trying to get another shot. I couldn’t reach my quiver to get another arrow. By the time I reloaded he was gone. Never again.

Right now I have a 2 piece on it and ran that all last year. I will probably change it out for a one piece when I get back from Co as it fits on the daisy chain and against the tree better

Oh hasn't this story played out for all of us?? Am I right!?!? ;)

I do some spot and stalk every year and practice shooting with my quiver on for that very reason..
My quiver goes on my bow as soon as it comes out of the case and does not come off until it goes back in the case, in my mind its 1 less thing to think about in the moment.

I have a 3 arrow SL-2 on my bow. It has a cord for hanging, but I keep it on my bow unless shooting quarters are cramped. I like having a quiver on my bow for ease of access and the ability to remove it when needed. So I prefer a removable quiver over a fixed model. At home, I shoot my one arrow a day, with the quiver attached to my bow. My bow shoots to same POA with or without it, btw.
