I've painted mine and added the versa strap light. My paint job sucks compared to yours.

A self etching primer will work the best with the aluminum. It won't rub off.

Well I didn’t go in with huge expectations but I’m pleased with the outcome. Tried to mirror Sitka’s EVII but maybe it came out more like Kuiu’s Vias

I’ve done the inner tube over the cam buckle, paracord loop to hang from a s-biner while climbing, and stealth stripped any points of contact between the stem and the base.

Painted it, wrapped paracord around the outer edge to keep my boots from sticking in the grooves and making noise, replaced the strap with 1/8 Amsteel daisy chain, and replaced the standoff with one from Doublesteps which is curved and bites into the tree better.

Wrapped the edges, stand off, and post with camo vet tape. Then added a diy 7/64 amsteel daisy chain. Used it for the first time on my last hunt of the year. Worked perfect. Way better than standing on my top step of my stick.

how did you get yours to fit on? Mines kinda snug and the bolts is too large to screw through..... thanks in advance

Fit was fine, just needed to buy a smaller bolt that fit through the hole in the Predator. Can’t remember the size but you can use the stock bolt for reference.

They intentionally made it that way, but I felt it was undesirable as well so I put a different bracket on mine.

I think it would be cool to add an angled piece to the outer edge of these platforms. Just a little more surface area where 90% of the time I am resting my feet. Can you weld onto cast Al?

Yeah DanO has the best! My new predator has 1/8 gap! To me the movement would ware the post?

I like it. Really bites in compared the one that comes on it.

Did the bolt work with the bat bracket I don't like the predator bracket it has 1/8 gap

Just went on Tethrd website and they have a new bracket for the predator but it has 1/8 in gaps in it just like the stock one?

I assume they want it to pivot a little I don’t know. I liked it better with the LW bracket on.

Just got mine a week or so ago. Definitely needed a paint job. Though i used some lighter color green in mine for spring and early season and then some gray (have a lot of oaks in my area) and some brown and sand colors. Overall, i think it turned out great

I used an XOP 6 pt bracket and the same predator bolt. not a problem. Grips these southern pine trees so much better.

Did you get your bracket to fit the predator?I just received my bracket from DanO and need to get a Allen bolt to fit in hole! Is it better than the stock bracket? I don't like the gaps on the stock bracket and it turns. Thanks in advance

Been using the DanO bracket for a couple months, much improved bite on the tree.

I’m sure the Dan O bracket works well maybe even better but I’ve hunted all season from my Gen 2 predator and never had an issue with biting into the tree.
